How the velocity score works (v1)
Every scan records each post's views, so speed is measured, not guessed. The score (0-100) blends:
- Speed (40%): views gained per hour since the last scan. 100k/hr is full marks.
- Lift (35%): that speed against the account's normal. 4x its usual pace scores high even for a small account.
- Freshness (15%): runway left. The same speed at hour 1 beats hour 30.
- Trend (10%): speeding up or slowing down since the scan before.
All snapshots are kept, so the weights can be tuned against what posts actually went on to do.
Finding the original
The watched accounts are the signal. The video Eric reacts to is usually the original they reposted. The finder reads the clip (watermarks, on-screen text, who's speaking, the quotes), searches YouTube and the web, and picks the official or earliest post over re-uploads. It runs when you approve a clip, then the original downloads automatically. About $0.55-1.45 a search (measured).
